Rachel Zenzinger is the County Commissioner from Arvada, representing District 1 in Jefferson County. Since moving to Arvada in 2002, Rachel has served the community in a variety of capacities, including as twice-elected member of the Arvada City Council, and two terms in the State Senate, where she served on a variety of committees including Chair of the Joint Budget Committee. Commissioner Zenzinger grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado and came to the Front Range to attend college at Regis University. She received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Education, as well as her teaching license. Rachel has two college-aged children and resides in Arvada with her husband. She was elected to the Board of County Commissioners beginning in January of 2025.
